Research on a new type of plate airtoair energy recovery ventilator:product development and experiments

Discusses some performances that evaluate plate airtoair energy recovery ventilators at home and abroad. Presents the structure, main characteristics and experimental results of the new type airtoair energy recovery ventilator. As a result, the new type energy recovery ventilator has characteristics as following due to nanogas separation composite membranes being used as heat exchanging material: a) higher total energy effectiveness(more than 75%) than other similar products, b) traditional corrugation paper support structure is cancelled, thus the air resistance is significantly reduced, c) still high total energy transfer effectiveness at the condition of high face velocity, d) germs, viruses and gases other than vapor can’t permeate through the membrane with only 2nm hole diameter, and zero across leakage is acquired, e) owing to adopting a disassembled structure and the membrane with excellent affinity to water molecule, the exchanger core can be dismantled and cleaned, prolonging the life span of the plate airtoair energy recovery ventilators.
